When will it be Flash compatible?

Lurker
When will there be an update for us to get flash on our N1's i have been finding while browsing forums it would be really nice to have this on my phone. Any clue on the time frame?

It's actually fairly difficult to brick your phone. As long as you don't flash loltastic/broken kernels or corrupt radios, you're good.

Meh, the support for Flash in Sense is only OK IMO, I'm waiting for the official Adobe release for it to be better.

I would like to do this, but i am scared of bricking my phone. I have never done anything like that before to a phone.

dont worry, i havent hacked my phone either. I like it as it is.

I wished they released a beta version of Flash or anything, i dont really care if it's buggy lol. All those demo of flash on the Nexus/Droid makes me *drool*.

Installing sense will get you flash, but will also give you other bugs... will se, maybe the froyo update will have it included.. who knows

There is no release date for flash 10.1.

But we all know it files on the Nexus One. :D woot.

Should see it by this year i would think though!!

We were supposed to see it by the end of last year... and by march... and by spring... don't hold your breath. Just root.

If they dont get it out right before or right after the new iPhone 4g is announced they will lose a ton of interest.

Apple has added multitasking and all signs point to a larger possible HD resolution screen.

Would be nice for a FLASH ON ANDROID announcement to counter anything Apple has.

Why? People who are interested in having Flash on their smartphones won't be paying any attention to the new iPhone, as it will never have Flash.

I don't get it, AT ALL! why people give a damn about flash. I don't have flash on my computers nor any of my phones and there is never a website that I can't use that's worth my time.

Umm.. i don't know. Maybe because 80 percent of the web uses Flash???

To each their own.

Your missing the overall picture; just having flash out there is not really the interest. The point is that you can design for the mobile platform such as creating flash games for mobile, movie players, music players..etc. Id like to use grooveshark on my mobile; would be nice.

As of right now there isn't any mobile flash specific content; this will change and open up some new avenues for mobile phones and developers.

Its not true multitasking, either. It suspends the app and allows it to perform SOME operations, at apples discretion, not the user.further, only seven at a time. That's not multitasking. And apple has said numerous times NO FLASH EVER. Seeing as there are already videos out of the n1 running flash, we know its coming. And it runs on sense, so those flash addicts have an option NOW. additionally as much as people want to speculate about the iPhone 4g, show me ONE piece of documentation or interview or memo from ANY apple employee. You can't, cause not a whisper of the thing has been made.

Apparently Adobe doesn't know either as they the keep changing the dates. Because of this I do not trust Adobe to hit any of their future targeted release dates and this latest one is no exception.

OMG.
Expect it in the next 2 or 3 months. In that interview, the Guy did not express what he was trying to say correctly. He meant that the actual phones being released in the second half of the year will have flash already enabled.
We shall receive it in 2.2.
oh and btw, the flash on Sense is apparently Flash Lite 4, so expect a a better experience with 10.1

you guys kill yourselves over flash. i want it to, but it will get here when it gets here and thats that

the current flash player you can find on Android is Flash Lite, which is much much more limited.
