Where are my V player files?

I am a novice to the Android world and have a Nexus7 (Mk1) which has just stopped charging, and does not connect to the OTG card reader any more. So I suspect there are problems with mini USB port. Suggestions please?

I also have a number of video files on the V player app. I wanted to transfer one from the V player to my PC to edit it but while I can find the file on V player I cant see how to access it to transfer. Ideas here too please

Whoops sorry, I am retired and was recently attracted to the world of Android Tablets by their ability to provide a lot of the facilities of a pc but be readily carried on the pocket. So I bought a first generation Asus Google Nexus 7 which I have had for a few months and am gradually learning to use. Finding it very useful, but I has recently started to frustrate me. I am in need of guidance

Hi gathome. Welcome to Android Forums. Your charging/connecting problem could well be the USB port but it could also be your connecting cable. If you have another cable you might try that. You can give the USB port a close look to see if perhaps a pin is bent over or if it is physically loose. A connecting problem is often cable or bent pin.

I enjoy using a file browser to manage/move/copy files from device to PC. There are many free apps to be had from the play store. Personally, I use ASTRO but it is only one of many fine free apps that will allow you to address your files and manage them to your satisfaction. You can always access your files using your PC's browser as well.
Set your Nexus to emulate a mass storage device... connect to PC and you should find the file in question by using the PC.

I hope this helps and you can solve your port problem. Thanks for joining AF. Have fun.
