Where are the mic holes?

I believe there are 2 mics on the N7, don't have the unit in front of me, but I believe there is one on top and one on the side, and in case you ask the reason for 2 mics is depending on the position of the unit and also if you do video conferencing then there is no muffled sound if you hands are in the way.

Lower left (2/3 way down); Top left. Both on edge curve. Very small, looks like the rubber dimples.

When i cover the bottom mic, then speak into the top one, people cant hear me. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I have an 81 year old friend who does this when he talks to me on the phone and he wonders why I can't hear him?
