So i really want this phone,i think i would enjoy it more than the moto g. Problem is that no carriers have this phone anymore, and i cannot afford a g3 (plus i think g3 may be too big for my hands).

I can only find it on amazon for 379.99 with 6 dollars shipping but its not actually sold from amazon, but a third party vendor:
Amazon.com: LG G2 32GB - D802 - Unlocked GSM Smartphone - Black: Cell Phones & Accessories

I really dont want to buy a used phone i want to get a new one with all new packaging and shiny and all that jazz lol, plus i want a warranty as well (i assume if i bought the one i linked above i could just register it on LG's site for a 1 year warranty?).

Even still, 400 seems a lot for this phone when 2014 flagships are only 500-600. Wish i could buy this for 300ish from my to be carrier (t-mobile).

If you guys know of a better way to get ahold of this phone id appreciate the responses, if not i think ill end up getting the moto-g 4g lte model.

If you want this phone in the $300-400 dollar range you are most likely going to have to buy it used. This phone came out late last year. It is barely a year old and it cost $600 when it came out. Chances are that if you buy a used one it is only going to be a few months old. Not a bad deal to get about 40% off for only a few months of use. But that is up to you. Do you have good credit? You could get any phone you want financed through T-Mobile.

Well as you can see by the link a new one is 379.00 but i still feel that is a bit steep. I think 300 for the phone is a fair price, 250 used (but i dont really wanna buy used). I do have good credit but i want to keep my monthly bills low so im gonna buy the phone up front. Maybe 379.00 isnt too crazy then? I dunno just feels weird spending that much on last years flagship, maybe im wrong.

No this phone is a flagship phone that came out one year ago for $600. It is a pretty darn good phone too. When you compare it with the price of the IPhone and Galaxy S5 and Note series you will see that $379 for a new phone is pretty reasonable.

Have you considered the One Plus One and the Nexus 5?

Never heard of the one plus one but nexus 5 i did research, i actually prefer having a skin over android not a huge fan of the looks of stock android (yes i know i can customize).

I just really really like the looks of the G2, i feel they did an amazing job with the screen and how it fills the front of the phone, as a bonus i like the looks of LG skins.

My dream phone is the HTC one m8 but i cannot spend a months rent on a phone lol.

Looks for a used one. I bought my S3 used (here at AF actually) and despite some cosmetic blemishes which the seller was up front about, I got it for a steal and it's been nothing but perfectly fine! :)

Totally agree. A lot of times users (like me) put a case on the phone since day one and it looks like the day you bought it. The only thing that I would be wary about the LG G2 when buying used is the long term battery life. With the Galaxy S5 5 you can buy a new battery but with the G2 you cannot replace it.

Obviously everyone's usage & experiences are different, but I've had phones with non-removable batteries for years & have never had a problem - & I always keep phones for at least 2 years. I've only had my G2 about 6 months but the battery on it is amazing.

Ya true i may go the used route, im sure i can find someone who kept their phone in nice shape.

I DO have a question tho! I was watching a video of a LG g2 updated with the ROM from a LG g3, what im wondering is on that phone the recent app button is actually a button (Instead of having to hold home key on g2). Did that functionality come with the g3 rom or was that possibly included in a kit kat update to the g2? I really dislike having to hold down the home key for recent apps and much prefer the dedicated button like stock android has.
