Help Where do my attachments go? What file do I need.

I sent a document to my phone to open, I pressed it (its an attachment) and it said that it was downloaded, but I don't know where it went. With my LG Motion it had a program that I think popped up automatically (I can't remember the name) and I was able to read downloaded files. So I would like to know where it went, and what program I could use to find it. Does anyone know what the normal stock file reader is on android phones, because I would download it if I remembered. I downloaded officesuite 6, but I don't see it in there either, neither does it pop up aitomatically.

It may depend what application it was an attachment in and what type of file it was.. perhaps a little more info?

could be in sdcard\downloads

but like SUroot said more details will help as it could be several places

I was in my yahoo mail app, and it was a document sent from open office. Something with an odt ending. I havent tested sending other files to my phone but I feel that none would open up automatically.

it would normally go in the download folder of either ure sd card or ext sd card or the documents folder.
