My phone only keeps 100-200 texts in a string...where are all the texts prior to the most recent 100-200? Is there a way to 'get them back'?

Welcome to Android Forums!

If you have limits set, they are automatically deleted.

Go to Messaging and hit the 3 dots (menu) then select Settings. Make sure that "Delete old messages" is UNCHECKED. That way, you won't lose old texts... HOWEVER unlimited texts will eventually eat up a lot of system memory (not user memory) and cause problems later.

I recommend SMS Cleaner in the Google Store (formerly known as Play). You can clean by person or time and selectively delete old messages. I hope this helps.

It's great to have you here :)
