Help where do pdf files get saved to?

hello,

i was wondering where do pdf files get saved to? i downloaded attachments from my email but cant seem to find them anywhere. i went to my files/sd card but see no pdfs or gmail or google.

is there an easier way to browse and access my pdf files?

Download a file manager like ES File Explorer. Any PDFs I've ever downloaded get saved on the SD card. Which email app are you using? There may be a setting to choose where downloaded files get saved in the email app.
 
There shouldn't be any need to download a different file manager, well not for this purpose anyway. If you open the my files app then sdcard/Download they should be there. Don't go for the downloads folder though that will probably be empty
 
Oh yeah, I never took different browser variations into account. That's why downloads has always been empty for me as I never use the stock browser. I'll be in some variation of download/s

TRY HAVING A LOOK IN DOCUMENTS FOLDER IN MY FILES. THATS WHERE I JUST FOUND MINE.
 
First's write the entire name of the file and extension down exactly as they are in the email. Make sure to download the file!

Next go into your file manager/explorer and search for the file you wrote down.

When the manager/explorer finds the file Press and hold on it to bring up options for it.
Press on the "details" option.

The "details" will have the file path the email app saves the files to.

For my Note 4 using Yahoo Mail it was

-device storage
-android
-data
-com.yahoo.mobile.client.android.mail
-files
-download


Each Email APP will have a different save path. Once you find it you'll be able to find your files in a snap and move them to wherever is more convenient.
 
If you have an Android, pdf's might be saved to Google Drive. I downloaded a pdf and I couldn't find it but after a while of searching it was downloaded into Google Drive. I don't know if that's exclusive from where you downloaded it.

go to the cloud and hit the 3 lines in top left and hit documents
