Where is auto restart setting?
I have Verizon Wireless service.
Ideally, I'd like to reboot restart phone automatically say once a week.

On the T-Mobile variant there is an option to set the device to auto start at a time you specify.

Settings, general management, reset, scroll down to auto restart , tap on it.

I use it myself.

@Leob , if you read the manual thats on the phone, you will find many of these features and more.

Unfortunately this feature is not on the Verizon variant. They ripped it out of the Note7 and now the Note8 too. Why? Who knows.

You do know that in android a restart is near useless as it doesn't clear the ram, in fac t many people have worse performance after a restart because you'll be turning on apps you've shut down with a ram that's already loaded.

I don't believe this is necessarily true. I reboot my phone every Monday morning before I get out of bed and notice quite an improvement each time. My consumed ram usually shows mid 70's percentile towards the end of the week, but when I reboot Monday mornings, it goes down to the mid 40's and the phone seems to be more responsive.

Not sure if you have a Galaxy or not, but if not, they are quite different from stock android devices.

S8+ and I'd read more if I were you.

Edit: Just wanted to add that, I read it online recently which did surprise me but rings true. I for one have got apps started that wouldn't start with a restart, but would with a shut down & power up.
