Where is better to save my files?

Matrix Leader

my S3 has 16 GB and my mini SD Card has 64 GB

So far, I have my mp3s, photos, etc. all stored on the phone

which is better? to store them on the phone or on the SD card?

a brief explanation is appreciated to the + and - points

Your SD card is going to be better for more storage. If it's a slow card (Class 4 or below), then you'll have problems with video and should keep videos on the internal. If Class 6 or better, keep all your big files on it.

Sorry to be pedantic without really contributing to the thread...

Just wanted to let you know that tip is when the thread gives a tip. I.e. the first post is giving a tip.

Threads asking for tips are Support :)

Another really basic tip......

Save anything you really care about off your phone (e.g. pc, cloud etc.). If your phone is stolen, falls in a toilet, or takes an unexpected plunge, you don't lose what you can't replace (e.g. family pictures).

You are right, it is pedantic :D Frankly never really looked at the category when responding to threads, unless the mods ever implement vendor specific ones ;)

I would store everything on the SD card personally. I've had phones get wet before and the SD card has always been fine, but if it takes a dunk and everythings stored on the phones memory you will probably be SOL.
