Not technically a developer question, but hopefully an appropriate challenge. It seems that no one but developers have a solid enough understanding of the android file system to answer this question. Even if you could just guide me to an appropriate resource, I'd be thrilled.
I took a picture, made it the wallpaper on my phone, and then my phone mystically, magically deleted all of the pictures from the /sdcard/dcim/Camera directory. Consequently, I would like to salvage the one remaining (reduced resolution) image that is saved as wallpaper but alas, I can't seem to locate it -- I know that it's in the main memory of the phone.
If it's helpful, I have learned that the default wallpapers are stored in a directory within the Launcher.apk, but I don't see how that could point to the storage location of the current wallpaper.
