Where is 'Exposure Compensation' on S8 camera?

I recently switched from an iPhone 5, love this phone.

When taking photos on my iPhone of a subject against a bright background, I could easily tap / hold on the screen then slide up to lighten up the image (called Exposure Compensation on normal cameras).

I don't know whether, this most, basic functionality exists on the S8, but I havn't been able to find it. I'm really talking about taking a picture quickly in the 'Auto' mode, the 'Pro' mode only seems to provide Manual exposure settings (where Exposure Compensation becomes redundant), which is a bit more fiddly than Auto.

Thanks for any help.
