I want to add Japanese keyboard in my phone but apparently the phone doesn't have one. Also, I checked for updates but it seems like it's updated already.

So apparently it's got Korean, Traditional Chinese(Hong Kong), Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese(Taiwan). Japanese input selection is usually found in this section, but seems to be missing from this particular Samsung. What version of the S8 plus is it you've actually got there, is it a PRC version device? If necessary post the full model and version numbers.

You can always install and use a third-party keyboard, like Gboard or Swiftkey.
I have really no idea as to where to find the model or version number. On the side note, it's S8 not S8+ (will there be a difference?) and since I am from Philippines, I guess I have the version of S8 which was distributed here. If I can't find the Japanese keyboard then I will have to download it...
I guess it's just the general Asia area version, not country and/or carrier specific. That should have the Japanese keyboard and input method included. Maybe it was just overlooked, an unintentional omission, and could be added with an OTA update?
