Where the heck is my FROYO update?

Talk, talk, talk from other blogs and Verizon rumor mill. The bottom line is that I am not buying a smartphone every 3 months when the next model flies out of the tech tunnel. Where the heck is my "froyo 2.2" update for my original Droid?...which must be a relic by now as it is a whole 8 month old model design!!

I'm sure it will get it soon but even Droid X's are waiting for froyo.

Or you could root, and have been running it for over a month...But I understand that not everyone is cool with rooting their phones. I hope VZW get's the update out soon for those not rooted..
