Where to get hands on with the S3

This is my second post on this forum (Hi everyone :)), and consequently I'd like to apologize if this is the wrong place to post this. I was wondering if anyone knew of specific stores in which I can get a hands-on experience (actually being able to use a fully functional phone) with the S3. I've heard that stores like AT&T only have very basic models of the phone just so you can get a sense of size and weight, etc. but not a real phone. I'm converting from being an iPhone user and I'm used to having something like the Apple store to go to and test out which product I like best, but I don't know of anywhere to do this for Android and other phones. Specifically I'm looking for the S3 though. I appreciate any help very much! Thanks!

Since it is on all major carriers, you could try a Verizon store (even if you don't plan on using them) as they have always, in my experience, had working versions, not dummies. Just make sure it is an official VZW store as some "preferred partner" stored do carry only dummies.

Thanks everyone for the tips! I'll definitely check out an AT&T store first and then if they don't have them I'll check at other places.

Also is there a protocol for "thanking" people (too much thanking, too little thanking, etc.) and whats the "proper" way to acknowledge people's helpful replies? Though this is probably in the rules, it might be helpful to know what people actually do.

Yes, the protocol is that if you ever see a post of mine, no matter what thread you find it in, ALWAYS hit the "Thanks" button! :D

Seriously, just use it when you feel like thanking a person who helped you, like you would in the "real world"

You are more than welcome. There is really no protocol or rules. If someone is helpful hit thanks.

^^^Like he said here.

Or you could pop over to the UK and go into a carphone warehouse store. One of their sales staff gave me his own phone to play with providing I did not call Australia. :-)
