Where to store?

Hi, I have a LG Leon with Andriod 5.1.1. I installed a few apps, then I see the Storage shows the membery is low, so I put a 8G SD card in it. Some app like the camera would ask me where to store my pictures. My question is,, for the apps that don't ask, where do they store memory? how about the google apps I downloaded, do they automatically store to the SD or do they store to internal memory? Thanks

If you plan to stay with 5.1 then there are apps that can be "moved" to the SD card, but it's not what you think. Some of the app's data and files will move to the SD card and some will stay on the phone's internal memory. It might free up a few megabytes, but it will also impact performance. Honestly, that was a mid-range phone when it was released three years+ ago. With today's apps and only a few GB of storage and 1GB of ram you're fighting an uphill battle and probably getting pretty frustrated along the way. Is there any way you can replace it for something a little current?

Thanks for the reply. The only reason I use this phone is because I got it for free from a friend, who thought it was broken. She said I can have it if I can fix it, so I did. :)
I am just to play around with it just to learn how annoying the Andriod OS is. :P I will stick with the iOS. :)

Of course iPhones have never had removable SD storage. Using iCloud or whatever is NOT an option for me, so I'll stick with Android thank you. :thumbsupdroid:

It's an LG Leon you've got is it? Which is a budget smart-phone with only 8GB total internal storage. Quite frankly the only smart-phone I've had that had that small of storage was the original iPhone, over ten years ago now.
