Help where's my water requires wifi on nexus 7

I was disappointed to see that where's my water require WiFi to play on nexus 7.

It does also on Touchpad cm9

However it doesn't on the tf300 so i was hoping it would be the same with nexus 7. Any solution?

That is strange. I know it works on my daughter's SGP 4.0 when she is away from wifi. She plays it in the car all the time. You might consider contacting the developer.

I googled this earlier when I had a spare second and it does look like a common issue. I didn't spot a solution, however.

Downloading now on my Flyer but jeez it's 40meg!
I'll update with results.


Edit: works just fine on my Flyer in airplane mode. It's running 3.0 so perhaps it's a JB problem?

Thank for checking. Here is my experience:
Plays w/o wifi or internet:
Archos 70 with android 2.2
Tf300 with android 4.0.x

Doesn't play w/o wifi or internet:
Touchpad CM9 (android 4.0.x)
Nexus 7 (android 4.1.1)
