have an old ctv "I like the old tvs" :) I want to view the android on my tv I know that the samsung galaxy s1 can do it, But I just want to know my options when selecting one, It would be nice to netflix hulu and facebook on the tv via android :)

never knew that was possible through a "sound" output jack.

if it's not actually still possible you could look into what's known as a streaming media player. it will stream video to your tv with all of those services you have listed. yes, facebook also.

The S1 was able to output an analog video signal via the headphone jack AFAIK. I used to have a Nokia N95 that could output PAL or NTSC video the same way. From what I've seen lately, just about all recent Android devices with video capabilities are digital HDMI only. Sure you can get an adapter though that can convert HDMI to analog video.

Aye. With most androids you're looking at DLNA but you need a modern TV with WiFi / DLNA.

My Nokia 5800 could do it.

Yeh many of the Nokias had analogue video out via the headphones jack. With a modern Android device you really need a modern TV that does DLNA, HDMI etc.
