Which Android

Hi,

I have a Google Nexus 6P and love it, but it's starting to show it's age battery wise and getting a little slower.

I want to upgrade and Pixel interests me, I like the plain Android experience, getting early updates to the OS.

I looked at Apple and wasn't intesrested.

I can't get a Pixel 2 XL through O2 so am considering a Samsung S8 although I've always found them plasticky and don't really like TouchWiz or whatever they call it.

Any ideas please? Is the S8 a decent upgrade, I've not really looked as the nearest shop is a way away. Has the Samsung experience improved significantly?

If you go with Samsung, LG, or HTC your going to have serious bloatware. I saw the galaxy S9 the other day and it was over loaded with bloatware. I think the phones that come closes to the pure Android experience are the moto phones. You might want to look other options for phones ZTE, One plus, Honor,

If you're on o2, you should also consider the oneplus 5t...

Or just get the Pixel 2XL on O2 via CarphoneWarehouse if that's what you'd like. You can get it as a subsidised contract phone or upgrade through them, you don't have to go through O2 directly, and they offer a different selection of phones.

I really like the look of the oneplus. I live in a village where it's o2 or nothing. I get a good deal when I upgrade each time as a result. I wouldn't get that through Car phone warehouse.

If you're on o2, you should also consider the oneplus 5t...

FYi OnePlus 5T has now been discontinued apparently.

Which basically means that OnePlus hasn't got any phones to offer at the present time.

Although I've now got a very good idea what the yet to be announced OnePlus 6 will look like...

It was mainly the notch that put me off buying an R15 last Sunday, and bought a Huawei Mate 10 instead. Now I've put it through it's paces for a few days, I can definitely recommend the Mate 10.
