Root Which Firmware for North America (US)

I recently bought my first Android device; an unlocked Galaxy S Advance (GT-I9070P). The first thing I noticed was a lot of APPS that I have no interest in. My Google searches have led me to believe I need to

Go to the android settings to see the five character code for your phones firmware and download that one. I see some of the firmware files have been removed, mine was DXLD1 if you happen to neet that one lemme know

This seems to be one of my challenges. If I am understanding my phone's specifications, the current firmware is BVLD3. What firmware is best for my use?

Anyone? Just looking for a recommended firmware for use in NA. Open Europe, open Germany, United Kingdom? I currently have no service but plan on getting StraightTalk if that matters. The current firmware is BVLD3.
