Which firmware is better 4.4.2 or 4.4.4

I want to download 4.4.4 but I read there are some annoying bugs and the battery life is either a hit or miss.

I am on 4.4.3 right now. And was hoping to get 4.4.4 as soon as I could. However, there are so many issues being reported that I no longer think its worth the upgrade. If you go on the Motorola Owner's Forum you'll see a specific thread from Motorola employees asking for feedback on the battery life after 4.4.4 due to the buzz of great forums like this one.

Now of course some folks point out that its not likley 4.4.4 causing the problems (likely some poorly designed apps) and that it takes about 7 days for the system to settle after an update, etc. But I don't think its worth the headache.

I am counting on Android L to be the better upgrade option.

My battery life since the upgrade is noticeably worse.

Do you by chance use the stock email app? Several users reported after the update it started acting up draining the battery. After disabling the app good battery life resumed. Just thought to mention.

i use AquaMail, but hadn't disabled the stock email app. will do so now and monitor. thanks.

Hope it helps. One other thing I am trying is GSam Battery Monitor...free app. It spells out the amount of battery used by each app. In this way you can find the one or two apps hogging up the battery. Found it quite interesting so far but its only been a day. Will use it and then likely uninstall after a week.

For those with problems after the upgrade ...

-- Did you do a Factory Data Reset after the upgrade?
-- Do you periodically Wipe Cache Partition?

I really have not noticed any real difference between 4.4.4 & 4.4.2. I do get more 3G where i used to be all 4G, but I think it is more of a VZW issue. I also use ART.

4.4.4 has been working just fine for me with no issues. ;)
