Which iOS App/Program is responsible?

So one of my friends called me the other day. He told me he was checking his girl's email for her, & he looked back in the inbox a few months & found an email with every text he had ever sent & received for like 3 months.

His girl had gave him an iPhone 3GS since his phone had broke & he couldn't get one at the time. It was linked to her iTunes account, but he wasn't on the email account linked to the iTunes.

So pretty much every text he had ever sent & received since he was given the phone up to 3 months after was in this email that was sent to her. And funny thing was he said in the "From" it was his email address!

I've heard of some crazy spy like apps, but never anything like this.

Anyone with iPhone experience ever heard of anything like this?

all in one email? Doesnt sound like an app. An app would do it one at a time surely? This sounds more like and export / paste and email whilst the phone was left unattended to me.

Nope.

1) Android only
2) 1 item in gmail per sms
3) Would not show up as his email address as the sender

That app is not the culprit.

Woops. Through the all the his and her, I couldn't tell if the OP was talking about an iPhone or Android. Now I don't know why it's posted here.

Guess cause its lounge? Imho thread title needs an update to be more specific to content. Something like "(iphone) what app emails sms like this?"

Not knowing really anything about iPhones, I searched for what kind of app would back this up. Looks like iTunes does some of it, but it wouldn't prove that they're emailed.

Sorry if the description was confusing. Was just trying to provide as much info as possible.

The iPhone was jailbroken so it could run on T-Mobile if that helps at all.
