Which network if I buy the phone from ST?

Hi everyone,

I am considering a switch to Straight Talk for my wife and I. We currently both have Android devices with Verizon and are coming off contract soon.

I am trying to decide if I should buy a GSM phone and just get an AT&T SIM card from Straight Talk, or buy a phone directly from Straight Talk. AT&T has good coverage in my area, but T Mobile sucks terribly here.

If I buy a phone from ST is there any way to ensure I get a phone that will use AT&Ts network? I've been reading up on this for a few days now, but haven't been able to figure this out.

Thanks,

Gary

Usually the phones ST sells will have an indication on the box as to which network they use...CDMA-V for Verizon, CDMA-S for Sprint, GSM-A for AT&T, and GSM-T for T-Mobile. Course if you order the phones from their website, it's harder to tell cause they don't put it on there and you have to end up searching the web for the info.
