Which phone to get from Verizon

to serve man

Well-Known Member
Have been a user of BB for 7 years, now I am moving to VZ from ATT and I am considering an Android device. Looking at them from BB user's point of view, they all seem to be the same to me, one with bigger mp camera, or more storage, etc.. Are all phones running same android with Verizon?
Also are they all going to work overseas? They say 4G ones won't but my coworker had thunderbolt working just fine when we were in Asia.. however on VZ website it shows not a "global" phone.. I don't understand.

I don't understand either. I would suggest you get a little more specific info from your coworker on exactly what he did.

He did not do anything, we both went to Asia and his phone worked perfectly fine.. He even got a call (which he said "Hang up, I am in China") :) LOL..
I assume thunderbold does not have UMA capability, in that case I would say he got the call via WiFi but on his VZ number, otherwise it was working just fine. He even e-mailed us pictures he kept taking.

I believe the Thunderbolt has both 3G and 4G radios in it. Maybe his phone was working in 3G mode. Then again maybe it was a fluke and he was in the right place at the right time in order to get a call.

Interesting.....
