Which protectiong for your phone?

I definently go with the Total Equipment Coverage. I have no reason not to stick with them. I think its worth it. Im fine with paying $7.99/month considereding Ive had apps cost more than that. I dont use it much but it makes me feel great having it. I am completely fine with paying $90 no matter what happens, especially since you can have a new phone within 24 hours.

But then again, I never even heard about Square Trade till this thread..haha

I just bought 2 droids within the last few weeks, and I opted for Square Trade. I figure, that it is unlikely that we would ever have both phones stolen/lost. I figure it is far more likely that I drop a phone in the water, or crack the screen, or the phone just stops working.

With the TEC, if we ever had one phone lost stolen, we would be out $481 with the cost of insurance for two years for both phones, and the $89 deductible.

With the Square trade warranty, we would be pretty well covered for $134 total for both phones (after some discounts found with google), and that covers everything but loss/theft. The square trade warranty covers repairs, and if not repairable, they reimburse the cost of the phone on the invoice, so you will have to cover the difference between that and the discount you got for the contract. That should be less than $400.

I guess it depends on what you are willing to risk/pay. In the end, I am comfortable with the decision I made.
