Root which rom?

Hello android forum. Thinking about rooting my razr maxx and installing a rom. I looked at the official rom and theme page. Im not sure which rom to use. How do i choose? I dont really need a fancy theme. Just something basic and stable. Currently running jelly bean 4.1.2

CyanogenMod worked really well for me. It's likely not the flashiest ROM out there, but it's good and stable.
 
Um, probably? You can find it at http://cynogenmod.org in any case, and these days they even have an installer you can download, though I don't know if that works with the RM.

I don't recall ever having any problems with it. Got me upgraded to KitKat which was pretty awesome given that stock never went there.

That link is dead...says the domain is for sale.
 
SO I got everything figured out. I have cyanogenmod 10.2 installed and running. However...Im noticing my signal strenth is only a few bars and drops out every once in a while. Is that a known issue?
 
Has anyone gotten the Jellywiz ROM to work? It just keeps rebooting on me over and over again. I followed the instructions.
 
It probably would have helped if I hadn't typoed the domain... :p

I think you should be able to run CM11 instead of 10 if you're so inclined... I don't recall any signal issues.

Never tried Jellywiz, so I'm afraid I can't comment on that.
 
First mod ever for me, put on Cyanogenmod 11 M9 tonight. So far, nice KitKat experience. Might even send back my new MotoX!
