Root Which root to install

Hiya people! please be kind this is my first post.

I've recently purchased a galaxy portal and rooted it.

Just like to know whats the latest root or firmware for my phone?
I've looked around and are getting confused with which one to use.

Baseband Version I570EXXJC1
Firmware Version 2.1-Update 1

Build Number Leshak's Kernel v.LK2.01.1

Also What is baseband version?

Baseband Version I570EXXJD1 offers the most of the improvements seen on the 5700.

As you're using LeshaK's kernel, you should be able to reboot into recovery and install latest Samdroid Kitchen.

ie this one Samdroid Kitchen

Use the defaults chosen, but change to LaucherPro for your Home App.
Much faster.

Then look at installing Samdroid Turbo (Frozen Eclair Beta 8)
