Which routers works for WPA wifi

hello all.

Got a G1 this morning (uk)

I love this phone, but a have a few issues.

The main issue being it will not connect to my wireless network with any encryption, i use WPA-PSK a 63 character length alphanumeric password, so no symbols. I have also tried WPA2 with no luck. Once i turn the encryption off it connects fine and i cant use WEP as its insecure. I have DL-524 router (d-link)

How many of you are successfully connecting to wifi with WPA or WPA2 encryption? Can you state your router model numbers please, i might buy another.

Is meebo my only current option for msn messenger? I notice those in the states have it. Are there no firmwares we can flash the device with yet?

I had some issues with my G1 connecting to my router also, but in the end it turned out it was auto-detecting the wrong authentication type (WEP/WPA2/etc).

When I set up a manual connection and set all of the parameters my self, it was able to connect and authenticate on the network. Maybe it'll work for your case, also?

(this was with an Apple airPort)
 
I think I tried that, but ill try again. Ill take a look at that router too. Cheers.

Also can I very this forum in a non mobile format, I can't see an option.
 
If you decide on buying a new router, get the WRT-54GL version 1.1 from Linksys and download Tomato and install it onto the router. Thank me later. :-p if you need help let me know.
 
i flashed a wrt54g with DD-WRT in the past, was bloody awful. :D Never heard of tomato?

That air port is well over priced, like all of there things.
