Which Scanner App to use?

I don't use a scanner app, but I've seen this question discussed here several times. CamScanner and HandyScanner seem to be popular choices.

Have you tried the document scanner included in Google Drive?

I have tried the Google Drive Scan, but it does not provide the best quality.

As for CamScanner, I have to buy the full version to be able to upload things to a cloud. Is there a free alternative?
