Which songs make you feel sad?

"End of the Innocence"- Don Henley
"When happily ever after fails, and we've been poisoned by these fairy tales....."

"Desperado"-Eagles (Don Henley)
"Don't you draw the Queen of diamonds, boy; She will beat you if she's able...."

"The River"- Bruce Springsteen

Now all those things that seemed so important
Well mister, they vanished right into the air.
Now I just act like I don't remember,
Mary acts like she don't care.

"My Hometown" -
Bruce Springsteen

Now Main Street's whitewashed windows ...and vacant stores
Seems like there 'aint nobody wants to come down here no more
They're closing down the textile mill across the railroad tracks
Foreman says "These jobs are going, boys. And they 'aint coming back".

C'mon, come back, people....Yer' makin' me look like a bum-out...Answer the OP's question.;)

Cyndi Lauper - Time after time

A gut wrenching song and video; do I remember that the mother in the video was actually Cyndi's mother in real life? Makes it that much heavier, but not sure of that trivia.

When I want a song to match my mood of sadness I go for

Love's no friend of mine - Rainbow

Which makes me feel terribly sad the first time I hear it... But after being on a continuous loop for a couple of hours the song seems lose it's effect, and my sadness seems to dissipate with it.
