Which tablet for root

I want to get a new 10 inch tablet and want to root it out the box. Any suggestions for a 10 inch that takes root well and has stable ROM options?

Doesn't matter as long as it works and is stable. I'm familiar with various root methods

What about a Google Nexus or Pixel tablet? Probably best devices for proven rooting and stable ROM development.

Nexus is pretty inexpensive. Probably go with that one. Thanks Mike
