Which Zelda game?

I'e always wanted to play the Zelda games, and have the emulators on my Nexus 5 & 7. My question is, Which should I play first, should I start with the original from the SNES or move to one of the others, maybe a GBA version which may work better on my phone?

Assuming you own the cartridges and obtain the games that way, why not start with the original NES version?

I've only played Link to the Past, which is very good. You might want to start with first game on NES (assuming you own it). From what I've read, The Adventure of Link is the black sheep of the series. I probably wouldn't play it until I'd some of the more notable entries.

Skip Zelda 2 for the NES,unless you're one aiming for completion. All of the games, minus that one, are great. My favorites are Links Awakening, Majoras Mask, Ocarina Of Time, and of course the original

Zelda 2 is purely for masochists. That game is stupidly hard.

Having you start at the very beginning of the map any time you run out of lives is just stupid. They should have made it so you respawn at the last town you visited.

That might be difficult to do, because the story isn't sequential. I read that at some after the first game, something happens that causes the timeline to split. So the games in the series fall into one of four alternate timelines.

Yeah, it splits after ocarina. I think the splits go to majoras mask and twilight princess, respectively

I've played The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask on my Wii Console and it was tone of fun from that moment i'm a huge fan of Zelda games and it's one of my favorite game
