Help Whichmusic app runs when connecting to my cars bluetooth?

How can I select which music app runs when I connect to my car's bluetooth?

Before the latest 5.1.1 update, my phone and car automatically connected and started playing the last played tune on the previously used app as soon as i switched to bluetooth audio. Now, each time I want to play music in my car, I have to manually connect and also have the music app that I want already running before connecting.

Any advise please?

You might want to try checking the options on that particular (car) bluetooth connection to make sure that it's automatic. Or delete the pairing and recreate it. Not sure either or those will work but it's worth a try.

I use the free automation app, Llama, to automatically launch my preferred music player when my phone connects to my car via Bluetooth. So when I get in the car, the music just starts playing. But if your Bluetooth isn't connecting at all, then that's not gonna work. (FYI: I also use Llama to turn on Waze and disable the screen timeout, IF the phone connects to my car's Bluetooth stereo AND IF it's charging.)
