White box lock screen notification

On my note 4 I get a butt ugly white box with every notification and it's a pet hate (for EG when someone texts or tweets)

Is this still the case with the s7 edge.. Or has that changed.. Asking as I'm considering a 7 edge for my upgrade.

Still the case. But you can turn it off if you don't want it.

Okay okay... I give up.. i've searched and high and low through settings.. how do i turn it off...

Settings>Lockscreen and Notification>Notifications on Lockscreen>Content on Notification>Do Not Show notifications
