Help Why add to contact menu on this phone not working

Why add to contact menu on android 8 on this is not working ?
Yes it goes to contacts and copies and paste the number, but only about half of the complete phone number, and keeps on complaining such 'too many number to be kept or contained' in contacts' phone number area if user tries to edit on contacts' data

Have you got the default save location set to the sim card? If so, open app draw, contacts, three dots, manage contacts, default storage location, select your gmail.
