Why are random sections in Google photos showing up as a black picture?

And how the eff can I fix this?! Also, lately a bunch of stupid bs pics have been just showing up by the hundreds. What's causing this, how can I stop it, and is there a simple fix to making them all go away at once rather than manually selecting each one to delete??

I attached screenshots of both problems..

Lol yea of course It does but I know exactly what pictures should be there that arent...does that make sense?

And second pic I'd an example of all the pics that have just been randomly showing up in my files...like 100s at a time

Did you install some type of software with icons in it? Photos will save any type of image to your Google photos also.... And those look to be something of that type

I don't think so, all the icons are from apps I have had for several years, I can see that by going thru all of them....its just recently though, that all these stupid pics started popping up

For the second, id check what folders photos is backing up... Looks like it may have picked up a folder with icons by mistake..

... For the pocket phots, check the metadata
. Date time location etc for further clues
