Help Why are videos stopping every few seconds in YouTube?

Hi

Its normally because the video file is being played faster than it can be downloaded and it stops to let the download catch up. You could try reducing the display resolution. Are you using a fast wifi connection, 4g or 3g?

I am (and was) using 4g, but it seems to be working now anyway. What do you mean by "being played faster"? It didn't look or sound like it was...

I meant that if a 20 second video takes 30 seconds to download, and you start playing and downloading at the same time, there will have to be a total of 10 seconds of pauses (buffering) before it can play to the end. But if you are on 4g that probably was not the issue...

Even if you are on 4G, doesn't mean you are actually getting high speeds. 4G just allows higher max connection, but signal strength and network congestion plays a part. As well as video size.
