Why can't I copy from sd to internal storage?

I have 5 files I want to transfer. 1 is jpg and the other 4 are screenshots. I have tried with both the Samsung A02s builtin file utility and file manager (the orange apk suggested by puppykickr). Both of them are not allowing copying to the same destination. It isn't the same but I can't find a way to tell it to copy to internal storage.

Thanks, it worked. All I had to do was tap where it said root and switch to internal storage. I wish I'd known that earlier.

I use Solid Explorer which has two file explorer panes when the phone is turned to landscape mode. It's easy to navigate one to the source location and the other to the destination, then copy / move. Easy

No, I don't see that it does anything I need that Solid Explorer doesn't do.

Well, it is totally FOSS.
I am suspect of any app on Google Play- even if it also is on F-Droid, I have seen Google Tenticles inside of the app on the Play Store that are not in the version on F-Droid.
