I hate Android 5.0. Can I just get that out of my system? I can't tell you how much I regret upgrading. If anyone has a solution for any of these issues, I'd love to hear from you.

Here are the problems that were introduced to my Samsung Galaxy S5 (Verizon) when I upgraded to Lollipop:
  1. My battery life sucks. Even with minimal usage, I can't get through a day anymore without needing to recharge. If I actually use my phone, well, I'm going to need to recharge at least twice to get through the day.
  2. My phone has slowed to a crawl. OK, sometimes it's better than others, but it is noticeably slower most of the time. Dragging is jerky almost to the point of being useless.
  3. With Lollipop, they've removed the ability for automation programs to turn mobile data off and on. I used this feature multiple times a day as I arrived and departed my home or office. Why take it away? What is the logic behind an upgrade removing functionality?
  4. Lollipop doesn't like Exchange. Or Exchange doesn't like Lollipop. Regardless of where the cyberanimosity lies, I became unable to pull my business email once I installed Lollipoop. I had to install the Outlook app, which I really dislike because neither the Android Email app or Gmail app is now capable of pulling mail from our Exchange server.
  5. And along with the email issue came problems with my calendar. For the last 73 years or so, I've subscribed to the idea of using only one calendar. It's keeps me from double booking myself or missing appointments. OK, I wasn't really using only one calendar, but the Android app I use was able to combine my personal Google agenda and my work Exchange appointments into one comely, color-coded, convenient and comprehensive calendar. Can't do that now that I'm using the crappy Outlook app for my work schedule.
When I upgraded to 5.0 my phone became incredibly hot and slow, so I did do a factory reset which seemed to help. Briefly. I really don't want to have to do that on a regular basis to keep my phone functional. Besides, that's not going to deal with the other issues I'm having. I abandoned my iPhone and AT&T for the Droid and haven't looked back, but I'm pretty disheartened right now. If Google is going to continue offering upgrades that remove features, I may have to consider other options.

So has anyone found solutions or workarounds for the above problems?

Am I the only one who is frustrated by Android 5.0?
