me and my friend dezzi were playing with my replacement Nexus 7 and she asked "why is it called a nexus?" we cant for the life of us figure it out

what do you think

Well the simple definition of nexus is a connection that links 2 or more items together, that's Google's vision of Android smartphones a phone /os that links everything right in the palm of your hand.

Also rumored that they love Blade Runner.
Book: Do Android's Dream of Electric Sheep - basis for plot of Blade Runner.
Plot: Deckard is faced with "retiring" six escaped Nexus-6 brain model androids, the latest and most advanced model. Because of this task, the novel explores the issue of what it is to be human. Unlike humans, the androids possess no empathic sense. In essence, Deckard probes the existence of defining qualities that separate humans from androids.

^ all from Wikipedia, my second favorite website (after AF of course)

Certainly just speculation.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate.

So, I've seen where they got the name for the Nexus line.
