Why does anyone buy damaged Androids?

I'm looking through ebay on a couple tablet models, I see listing after listing of damaged ones being sold, with cracked screens,messed up screens, won't power on, etc. Exactly who the hell is going to buy a tablet with a shattered screen? I mean, even if you get it fixed, still?

I think, they do repair it for use. And it is available in cheap price in the market.

On my Samsung tablet almost every part to repair it is available and there are YouTube videos on how to repair. If mine had problems I would buy the corresponding part(s) and fix it myself. Don't know if other brands have same availability, etc.
