why does my admire convert sms into mms on its own?

when i send a text messege if i type toomuch it converts my sms into a mms, why does it do this? and can i stop it from doing it?

I believe that it is something to do with having too many characters in the message, so it converts them to MMS (which allows more characters), however I thought that phones could now let you send multiple texts and would auto-link them.

Welcome to Android Forum. I guess that is just the way the system work. It also does the same thing on mine. I believe doing it this way guarantees that Whatever you write, attached to that message will have no problem being sent. Honestly, I think this feature is cool. Mms or sms are really not that different.
