Why does my san fran only work when I squeeze the sides?

Ok, so my phones touchscreen stopped responding recently. I wiped phone and installed new rom, which solved the problem for about a second! Literally!


Shortly after, I randomly figured out that if i squeezed the phone at the top (Just above the volume up button, and just below the charger port- at the same time) The phone becomes responsive?


What does this mean? Anyone shed some light please?? And I'm outside of warranty, so what are the necessary stages to fixing this?

Unfortunately, it sounds like a hardware issue. Your best bet would be to take it to a repair shop or see if Orange will fix it.

Unless you have insurance at all?

Thanks for the response. I'll try a local shop, then orange and see which is cheaper, as i have no insurance.
