Sometimes it updates apps from the play store and other times it says can't be updated as downloaded from play store, ringtones free

For instance it just updated waze via the galaxy store but I had downloaded it from play store it also tried to update angis list but it says can't update as it was downloaded from the play store and then I got to the play store and I can update the app again
samsung galaxy s23 ringtone
Are their dupe versions?

I just swipe to the left and get rid of the notifcations of apps need to be update, I mean come now, what is the point on when the app seem the same to us? Right?

I don't think it will install a second copy of the app (I don't think that would be possible without changing the package), but it is rather silly. It's just the sort of thing that happens when you have the same app in 2 app storage.

I generally ignore the Samsung app store until it occasionally pops up a notice to say I have 39 updates or something. Most of these will be pre-installed Samsung crap which I'm not interested in updating, but I have about 2 edge apps which I installed myself and can only get updates via the Samsung store. So I check whether there is an update for either of those then forget that the Galaxy Store exists for another few weeks...
