Root Why is it not sending texts, glitching screens, etc...

My phone won't send texts %90 of the time. also when clicking something it doesn't go to the next screen. But sometimes it will switch to the next screen at a random time. Does anyone know what I did or how to fix it? Please help, getting desperate.

Install Textra as your messaging app.
Restart your phone.
Factory reset if the problem persists, but backup everything to external storage first

If you have a screen protector or case on your phone, it could be the problem with the screen switching. As for the texting, if switching SMS apps doesn't fix it, ask your provider to re-provision your sim card.

OK guys, you all rock! It seems to be working so far. I downloaded texts and reset the phone. Factory reset I believe. Also I make sure my phone case isn't obstructing the button. Like I said, so far so good. Thanks again to everybody that chimed in. You are the best. Fingers are still crossed that is stays fixed.
