why is T-mobile alienating their customers?

My friend is on T-mobile and wants a Nexus one but would kick him out of his family plan, so not gonna do it, but not happy.

Seems like bad customer relations to me. I hope Verizon doesn't do something similar (plan wise) because I am lusting after one myself.

I hope Vodafone UK aren't going to so something similar with their plans either. Still unfortunately I won't be able to afford one and can't get it on contract as I'm already in a 2 year cvontract with voda for my Magic which seems like it's already getting outdated

I dont know why you guys are blaming Tmo on this. This is just like when the iphone came out, terms were dictated by them in just the same way they are by Google. Your friend should just straight up buy the phone and save more money that way.

UPDATE: Seems I'm not the only one who sees Google acting like Apple.
