Why no custom kernels ?

Why are there no custom kernels for the lg l70 running lineage os? (Kcal,adreno idler,fast charge,etc) I feel the device could really get alot of performance/battery improvements through custom kernels. Is it lack of interest or is just too time consuming developing a custom kernel for all variants of the l70?

Well for one it is a pretty old phone

The thing is there was a custom kernel with lots of features but its all bound to one specific rom (emotroid rom) for an unspecified variant of the l70
