Anyone know a good solid reason why the Droids don't support Facebook Push?

Facebook for Android 1.5 does support push notifications.
@ DGRYAN1977: Did you check in Facebook settings that all notifications are enabled and that it's set to check for alerts every X number of minutes?
That is funny, I had to uninstall the app because I did not want push notifications from FB. Go on line and make sure that in the Accounts>Mobile and Accounts> notification tabs are filled in correctly and that your current cell nr is listed in there. Once set up you should start receiving those annoying buggers.
It's odd, when I updated the app in the market a while ago, the update was to support push notifications. I don't allow for Facebook notifications so I wouldn't be able to tell you if they actually work.
That's not push.
Haven't you seen that AT&T commercial? You don't want to be humiliated in your car pool by getting the joke last, do you? While it may not be "push" by definition.. What is the difference? That you may get your friends all important status update 45 seconds later than you would have if it was pushed?

Well...which would you prefer..an email right away or 30 minutes later?

I've only received one push notification since updating to 1.5.1. I wish Facebook would either fix the feature or remove it.
In the settings, there are settings for refresh interval and notifications. If you set the notifications to active, you (in theory) receive a push notification whenever someone posts on your wall, comments a post, photograph, etc.
This has been broken since the upgrade to 1.5.1.
