Why no Wi-Fi Data?

My phone, Samsung Galaxy Attain through Metro wont download links. The phone times out and says "web page not available". But when not on Wi-Fi it downloads fine, WTF Can anyone help?
The phone says it is connected through Wi-Fi. My computer sees the phone.
 
Bad router perhaps. Try resetting your router and see if that fixes it.
Had the same thing happen to me because the router was going bad.:(

The signal shows white? Not green correct?
Try forgetting the one you are connected to-reboot-and set it up again.
On an Admire I had to Factory Reset it in order for it to connect properly.:(
It was a play phone though-I know we don't want to go that route with yours.
 
What do you mean by "my computer sees the phone"?

You're connecting with the router, not the computer.

On my phone there is a blue ball with a white "e" with red above it.
The phone says:
Status Connected
Security WPA/WPA2 Personal
Signal Strength Excellent
Link speed 72 Mbps
IP address ( My IP Address ) I don't want to say my IP address

I am not a phone guru.
 
What browser are you using? When you say "won't download links" can you provide an example of one as well as what you mean exactly?
Just trouble shooting -process of elimination;):thumbup:

On my phone I am using Google search, It does the same thing with any app or search provider.
Sometimes when I search the phone will give results as a list of possible links I can click on to go to different web pages. Now it wont even do that.
This is not different from the other router. Previous router Cisco E3000 now the one provided by Comcast-SMCD3GNV.
South Park, Astronomy Picture of the Day, Skydive Atlanta... All of these work when not on Wi-Fi.
 
I took my phone to a factory store and they did a "hard" reset and everything is OK even the Wi-Fi. I want to thank you for your time.
