Help Why the big deal?

ok, so I reading up on all the droid phones and d madness (cyanogen) but are people making way too much a-deal about this phone or what?
I've checked out the specs and it seems ok. I'd rather get the Galaxy than the Galaxy litle.

From the service i got from samsung today regarding one problem with a spica i will suggest any potential buyer to get an HTC Hero instead. I know its a litte more expensive but you will be more satifeid.
