Why they bought Motorola?

Yeah .. the previous Motorola shareholders must be absolutely delighted, Google share holders, not so much

Hopefully, Moto will start making some decent phones soon, though. I'm kinda looking forward to seeing the first all-under-Google phone they make.

I wonder why Google is taking so long to turn out devices since taking over Moto? I guess they have current contracts with other companies and still in the planning stages for theirs.

Google stated they had 18 months of Motorola pipeline to get through.

I don't think people realize how long these phones are in development

Google does want to keep it's partners happy, so it's not like they will be making Google Nexus phones with Motorola.

I'm on my third Motorola smartphone and I've been perfectly happy with them.

When I switch to Android from my iPhone I will have to get a Nexus phone. But I am hearing so much about the Motorola X phone and how awesome it's suppose to be. May consider that.

I have used Motorola phones in the past, and I must say they are quite decent.

I reckon Google feels that they need to have a phone in their kitty that can be used to show genuine Android interface - what with every other phone maker forking it to their heart's content.
